So, what do you do when, as a DCHS worker, you pick up 6 children ages 1 year and up who have to be removed from their home as occurred recently and occurs often in some counties in Arkansas? You have to find a suitable foster home for the children and, meanwhile, you have to take care of the children. So where do you turn for help to feed, change, play with and otherwise care for the children while you hunt for a caretaker?
SOUL to the rescue. Stitches of Unconditional Love is a volunteer organization in Bonnerdale.
Arkansas that makes up, what we call, Bags of Love, for children going into foster care. We give these bags to DCHS to have on hand for the children to take to their foster home and we will also provide to DCHS food and drinks, diapers, wipes, toys, some items of clothing, and such to use while the children are in their care and before a suitable foster home is found.
