God (the Father) so loved the world (you and me) that He gave His only Son (Jesus - to die in our place. We were the ones who sinned and the wages of sin is death. --Romans 6:23. We were the ones who should have died, not Jesus) that whoever (anyone) who believes in Him (who realizes that Jesus died in their place. The sinner is the one who should die but Jesus took his/her place) should not perish (should not die eternally in hell fire) but have everlasting life (in heaven and the new earth).
