(Guilt) is a persistent indication that we've wandered off the highlighted route God is clearly indicating for us to follow.
Not long ago, on another road trip, I thought I knew better than my GPS and decided to take a new and different route to my destination. My little device wasn't happy at all. It kept telling me to turn around, turn around, turn Around! I finally stopped and closely examined my self-chosen route, and sure enough, when I looked at the bigger picture, my way would not have gotten me anywhere but lost.
Yes, guilt is that little voice that says repeatedly, You're going the wrong way. You can't get there from here. Turn around. That's not condemnation. That's an indication that we're off course. Guilt is simply an alarm going off - a red flag that says in no uncertain terms, Turn around! You are going the wrong way!
