As we celebrate Easter this weekend, many will turn their heart to the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus who gave His life for ours. We were the ones who should die because of our sin. “The wages of sin is death . . . . But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.” Romans 6: 23.
As we teach our children to search for eggs, let us teach them to search for God. He says, “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13.
To the pagan world the egg represents fertility but to the Christian the egg may represent new life which is found only in Christ Jesus because He paid the price for our sin, giving us eternal life.
If you never thought of eggs this way before, from now on very time we look at an egg I hope we think of Jesus and the new life He bought for us by His death on Calvary.
Now, there’s a reason to celebrate Easter!
