Back to the beginning

Let's go back to the beginning . . . .

Somewhere in space and time, about 6000 years ago according to man's best calculation, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1.  Psalm 33:9 says, For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.                          Now read Job chapters 38 and 39. In chapter 38 God says to Job in verse 4:  Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if you have understanding.
5 Who has laid the measures thereof, if you know? or who has stretched the line on it?
6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

In our day and time we celebrate birthdays every year but God made the earth and everything in it in six days. He made the seventh day holy, the sabbath, and told man (mankind) to keep it holy: Exodus 20:8-11.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shall you labor, and do all your work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.                                                                                                                                                       So we celebrate the birthday of the earth every sabbath and honor and worship the creator.
